Vaak stond er een\u00a0stookhuisje op het erf. In dat stookhuisje een grote gietijzeren ketel, waar om beurten de slobber voor de varkens in werd gekookt, of de was werd uitgekookt.<\/p>\n<p>Bij ons staat ook een stookhuisje. De bovenste foto is genomen in mei 2002. Toen zag het stookhuisje er al wat gammel uit. In die tijd is er ook een foto van gekomen in een boek over \u201cStookhuisje in Drenthe\u201d, uitgeven door een historische vereniging.[1] Het boek kan ik even niet vinden, en de vereniging weet ik ook niet, en google bracht ook geen uitkomst. Na jarenlange verwaarlozing is nu de tijd gekomen om het hout te gaan vervangen. Het stookhuisje zal worden afgebroken en weer opgebouwd in dezelfde maten en met goed hout. De buitenkant is ook douglas. Er zijn oude gietijzeren stalraampjes gebruikt in plaats van de oude manier van ruitjes inzetten.
